South Africa hammered Ireland by 201 runs at Canberra on Tuesday, in a wonderfully dominant display. After posting 411 on the board batting first, they cleaned up the Irish batting for 210, to register a massive 201-run triumph. Here's a statistical analysis of the match.

With their batting effort on Tuesday, South Africa broke the record for the second highest total in the World Cup for the second game in a row. South Africa have now scored 400 plus in an innings five times. India are the only other team to achieve this distinction. Sri Lanka have done so on two occasions, and Australia and New Zealand once each. Incredibly, Australia and Sri Lanka have managed to lose games in spite of scoring 400 plus.

The 201-run win over Ireland was the fifth instance of South Africa winning an ODI by 200 or more runs. They have overtaken Australia, who have done so four times.

The 247-run partnership between Amla and Faf du Plessis is the highest second wicket partnership for South Africa in one-dayers.

In the match between Ireland and South Africa, three decisions were reversed using the Decision Review System (DRS), this is the most in the a 2015 World Cup game so far.

Andy Balbirnie's 58 was the first instance of an Irish batsman scoring a half-century against South Africa.

During the South African innings, Quinton de Kock was the only batsman to score at a strike rate of under 100.
