India captain Virat Kohli reiterated on Tuesday that while he will not start anything in terms of sledging but will stand up if Australia cross the line in relation to the same.

“Aggression depends on how the situation is on field. If the opposition is aggressive towards you then you counter it. India is not a team that starts anything but we always draw a line of self-resect. If that line is crossed we stand up to that," Kohli was quoted as saying in a PTI report.

Elaborating on the same, he further added in the PTI report, "Aggression also means that within team how possessive you are to that situation and as a team how much effort you are putting in for each wicket.”

It may be recalled that Australian pacer Pate Cummins on Sunday refused to believe that Kohli wouldn’t indulge in aggressive tactics during the tour.

India and Australia will kick off the long series with the first T20 International of the three-match series at the Gabba today.
